NFP BEAT EXPECTATIONS. NOW CPI COULD DECIDE THE FED’S NEXT MOVE. 📊

The market got a stronger-than-expected NFP print, but I don’t think traders should celebrate or panic yet. The real question is what CPI tells us about inflation.

If CPI comes in hotter than expected, the Fed could have less room to ease policy and may keep rates higher for longer. That would likely put pressure on risk assets, while the dollar could strengthen. Gold could also face short-term volatility as rate expectations change.

But if CPI comes in softer, the story changes quickly. Lower inflation would give the Fed more flexibility to hold or eventually move toward easier policy, which could support stocks and improve overall risk sentiment.

My current bias: FED HOLD, not hike — but CPI is the key confirmation.

For markets, I’m cautiously bullish, but I don’t want to chase a move before the data. I’d rather wait for CPI, watch the initial reaction, and then trade the direction that the market actually confirms.

For gold, I’m watching the reaction around the CPI release closely. A hot CPI could create pressure, while a softer print could bring fresh bullish momentum.

The biggest mistake here is trading the headline without understanding the numbers.

CPI isn’t just another economic release. It could change the entire rate narrative.
