US INFLATION JUST TURNED INTO A CRYPTO PROBLEM ⚠️
US inflation came in at 3.4% YoY in August, above the 3.3% expected, while monthly CPI rose 0.4%. Core inflation also surprised higher at 0.3% vs 0.2% expected.
Energy is the pressure point: gasoline jumped 3.9%, averaging about $4.30/gallon, while diesel reached $6.06/gallon, more than 60% higher YoY. Housing rose 0.3%, and the Iran conflict keeps oil elevated, with WTI near $100 and Brent around $105.
Now the Fed meets on September 16 with inflation still far above its 2% target and markets debating whether rates could rise again.
That matters directly for crypto:
$BTC reacts first to global liquidity and risk appetite.
$ETH is highly sensitive to tighter financial conditions.
$BNB adds exposure to both market sentiment and trading activity.
If energy inflation stays sticky, the Fed has a problem.
Higher rates, weaker liquidity, more volatility.
The question is simple:
If the Fed turns hawkish again, which gets hit first — BTC, ETH or BNB?
