Capital B Makes Its Biggest Bitcoin Buy in a Year
While $BTC trades near $79,500, one European public company is using the pullback to make its largest bitcoin purchase since September 2025.
Paris-based Capital B bought 376 BTC for €25.3 million ($29.4 million), lifting its total treasury holdings to 3,521 BTC. The purchase was funded through recent capital raises, including a €28.7 million private placement.
The company has now spent €309.4 million ($359.3 million) building its bitcoin position, implying an average acquisition price of roughly €87,878 ($102,058) per coin. Its previous monthly purchase was just 6 BTC.
The latest financing also included €7.6 million from Adam Back, increasing his ordinary-share stake to 17.64%. Capital B, formerly The Blockchain Group, rebranded in July 2025 specifically to focus on its bitcoin treasury strategy.
With 3,521 BTC now on the balance sheet and a bitcoin-backed credit product als being explored for Europe, is Capital B becoming one of the region's most aggressive corporate bitcoin plays?
