In July, Anthropic researchers used an AI model to cut the work needed to break HAWK, an experimental post-quantum signature candidate, by a factor of 67 million. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP all still run on cryptographic schemes a sufficiently powerful quantum computer could eventually break. The three networks aren't equally exposed, though.
