Teller (DEBIT) is a DeFi lending project built around credit-risk assessment, aiming to support undercollateralized and unsecured crypto loans.

The token has recently rallied sharply, but its trading activity and valuation structure make the setup highly volatile; the project’s current adoption and token economics are less clear than its price action.

What the project does

Teller connects lending markets with consumer financial data and Credit Risk Algorithms (CRAs) to estimate borrower creditworthiness. Its design supports both secured and unsecured loans, rather than relying only on traditional overcollateralization.

The project describes its core lending contracts as “Autonomous Teller Machines,” or ATMs, with lenders receiving interest-bearing proof-of-liquidity tokens for deposited assets. The available documentation is largely older material, so it is better treated as a description of the protocol’s design than proof of current usage.

Token and market profile

As of August 30, 2026, 08:44 UTC, DEBIT trades at $1.59, with a market cap of $27.34 million, fully diluted valuation of $158.76 million, and 24-hour volume of $170.59 million.

The circulating supply is only about 17.2% of the maximum supply, while the fully diluted valuation is roughly 5.8 times the current market cap. That creates a substantial dilution overhang if the remaining supply enters circulation. No upcoming unlock entries were returned, so the timing of that potential dilution is unknown, not confirmed absent.

Main risks and open questions

The project’s core differentiator is also its main risk: unsecured or undercollateralized lending depends on accurate credit assessment, reliable data providers, borrower privacy, and effective default management.

Teller’s own documentation notes general DeFi smart-contract risk and says that protocol control initially rested with the core team, with decentralized governance intended to develop over time. The available project materials also do not establish current lending volume, revenue, or active-user traction, so token performance currently provides a much stronger signal than demonstrated protocol fundamentals.

Bottom line: DEBIT looks like a high-volatility, low-float DeFi token whose recent rally is not yet matched by clearly verified current protocol usage. The read would improve materially with evidence of sustained lending activity, token-supply releases becoming clearer, and fundamentals that continue growing after the recent price surge.
