Ethereum Long-Term Holders Have Sold Below Cost for 81 Straight Days
Ethereum’s long-term holders have now realized losses for 81 consecutive days. Over the same stretch, $ETH rose from $1,689 to $2,507, a 48% gain.
That rally still has not brought LTH SOPR back above 1. Since Aug. 19, every daily reading has remained below break-even, with a high of 0.9686.
The broader market is much closer. Overall SOPR sits at 0.9930, leaving most of the loss-taking concentrated among long-term holders.
Only two streaks in ETH’s history lasted longer: 163 days ending in January 2016 and 161 days ending in May 2019. Since 2018, only one other streak has made it past 80 days.
