Bitcoin’s long-term holders spent most of August realizing losses. LTH SOPR was below 1.0 on 24 of 31 days, averaging 0.9176.
The picture improved after Aug. 19. Four of the next eight sessions closed above break-even, including a 1.3615 reading on Aug. 22. The latest move below 1.0 has lasted just one day.
Their implied cost basis now sits at $74,117, below spot at $79,014. Long-term holders may still realize losses on individual days, but as a cohort they are back above water.
