UK CRYPTO TAX DATA: 240 PEOPLE REPORTED £1M+ GAINS HMRC has revealed its first detailed crypto tax data for the 2024–25 tax year. ▶️ 17,600 people reported taxable crypto disposals ▶️ £1.38B in total crypto capital gains ▶️ 240 people reported more than £1M each ▶️ These 240 accounted for £717M, around 52% of total reported gains ▶️ £13.8B worth of crypto assets were disposed of Important: £1M+ in capital gains does NOT mean £1M+ in tax paid. It refers to taxable profit/gains from crypto disposals. 🇬🇧 HMRC is also preparing for the OECD Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF), with crypto data sharing expected to significantly increase from 2027.
