🦄 StarkWare says the first quantum-safe Bitcoin transaction has been mined on mainnet. The QSB construction moved $BTC into a hash-protected output without changing consensus rules, showing that one form of post-quantum spending can work on today’s network. The firm stresses that this does not make Bitcoin fully quantum-safe: the transaction is non-standard, costly to generate and cannot protect coins whose public keys were already exposed. The milestone is also relevant to $STRK and $ETH because StarkWare’s wider research uses hash-based STARK cryptography for Starknet, an Ethereum layer 2. It is a proof of concept, not a network upgrade.
