Blockstream researchers proposed SHRINCS, a way to sign Bitcoin transactions that could withstand quantum computers without sharply reducing the number of transactions in a block. The draft has no completed security proof, and its reference software is not intended for production. Implementing SHRINCS would require a soft fork and network-wide agreement.
