MultiversX's Supernova upgrade decouples consensus from execution and lets nodes agree on blocks before transaction processing finishes. Execution trails consensus by roughly one block, or about 600 milliseconds. Supernova is live on the testnet, and mainnet activation is expected on Sept. 10, 2026.
