Why is nobody talking about the fact that Strategy skipped the best week to buy $BTC?

When Bitcoin ripped +$16,000 in a single week, a lot of traders felt the usual trap: chase too late, then panic when the move cools off. And if you were waiting for confirmation, August 17 to August 23 was exactly the kind of window that makes people feel like they missed the whole trade.

Here’s the part most people miss. Strategy bought zero BTC during that stretch, while raising $2 billion through MSTR share sales and parking it in fiat reserves and USD cash. That pushed total dollar liquidity to $6.69 billion. In other words, they did not buy the breakout. They built dry powder.

That is a very different message from the crowd’s usual “buy every dip” mindset. $MSTR has been one of the loudest proxies for $BTC accumulation, but this case shows a more disciplined playbook: keep capital ready, wait for a better entry, and avoid forcing size into a stretched move. The market loves to punish FOMO more than patience.

Was this smart capital management, or are they waiting to load up after the next pullback?
