DUSK HAS A GOOD STORY — BUT IS THE MARKET BUYING IT?

Dusk Network is positioning itself around privacy, applications, and confidential smart contracts through its Layer-1 and XSC standard. That’s a narrative. But narratives are cheap in crypto.
Here’s where it gets interesting.

The question isn’t whether confidential smart contracts sound useful. The harder question is whether enough financial applications actually need them badly enough to create demand.

That’s where I’m not fully buying it yet.

A privacy-focused financial blockchain can make sense on paper, but the market doesn’t reward architecture forever. It rewards usage, relevance, and reasons for people to keep showing up.

But there’s a catch. Dusk has to compete not only with other blockchains, but with every alternative that can solve financial application needs without requiring users to care about the underlying technology.

And then there’s the token question. What makes DUSK valuable beyond being attached to a network? If the answer depends on future adoption, the market may already be pricing in a story that still has to prove itself.

Maybe I’m wrong.

But I’d rather watch real demand appear than trade the promise of it. Can Dusk turn privacy into necessity, not just narrative?
