Anyone else watching the privacy + compliance angle or am I overthinking this?
My brother was asking me the other day why institutions would even touch crypto if every transaction can be visible on-chain... honestly, fair question.
Look, real talk, this is where it gets interesting.
Institutions want confidentiality. They don't want sensitive trades, positions, counterparties, all sitting there for everyone to inspect.
But regulators aren't gonna just say “sure, hide everything” either.
So you need both. Privacy for the market participants... visibility where it's actually required.
That's the part I’m watching close.
Smart contracts that can handle confidential transactions while still supporting audits, reporting, and regulatory checks -- that's a much more realistic path for serious financial use.
And yeah, I know... sounds less exciting than the usual crypto hype.
But this stuff matters.
If tokenized assets keep moving toward real financial markets, privacy isn't gonna be some nice extra feature. It could end up being a requirement.
Told my cousin this a while back and he basically said nobody cares about compliance in crypto 😂 ... maybe. But institutions definitely do.
Idk man, I'm not calling this a guaranteed winner.
Just feels like one of those things people ignore until suddenly everyone starts talking about it.
