According to our analysis, BTC.D needed to close below 59.70% in this week, and that is exactly what happened.
At the same time, if you look at OTHERS.D, it is bouncing exactly from its support level. There is still a possibility that BTC.D could make one more upward wick.
However, the real concern would be if BTC.D moves above 61.45% and gets a weekly closing above that level. If that happens, the 5-year falling wedge setup on OTHERS.D could fail.
In that scenario, BTC may continue pumping, and altcoins could also move up with BTC. But the problem is that when BTC takes even a 2% correction, altcoins could potentially drop 20% or more.
That is why, in my view, BTC.D should not get a weekly close above 61.45%. If it does, it could be a very negative sign for altcoins.
Think of it this way: BTC may continue making new highs or recover strongly, but when the correction comes, altcoins could make another lower bottom and face a major sell-off.
