Funny thing happened after the biggest rally in years: the weekend gave some of it back.
BTC and ETH saw $109M+ in combined liquidations over the weekend, and 80% of that was long positions — people who bet on the rally continuing and got caught leveraged when it paused.
Here's the part that doesn't fit the "market is scared" narrative though: spot ETFs pulled in $307M for Bitcoin and $184M for Ethereum in a single day right before this happened. Institutions were buying while leveraged retail longs were getting wrecked.
Sentiment flipped from neutral to Greed (73) in just a few days. That's usually the point where pullbacks like this happen — not because the trend broke, but because too many people leaned the same way at once.
Not financial advice — leverage cuts both ways, and this week proved it.
Did this weekend shake your conviction, or does it look like normal cooldown after a big move?
