#DUSK #dusk $DUSK @Dusk
I was trying to sanity check Dusk's raise size for something I was writing, so I pulled up Tracxn and CoinCarp before trusting my memory.đ
Both said the same thing: about $1 million raised, total, across the project's entire history. That felt low for a team that's since shipped a mainnet, an EVM layer, and real institutional partnerships, so I went back and checked press coverage from when the raises actually happened instead of trusting the aggregators.
Okay so different story. A December 2018 press release puts Dusk's private sale alone at $8.1 million. Two years later, Dusk's own business lead told The Block that same 2018 raise was roughly âŹ7.4 million basically the same event, reported in a different currency at a different moment, not a second pile of money stacked on top. Either way, that's about eight times the "lifetime total" the trackers show, before even counting the 2019 public sale or the 2020 and 2021 rounds.
Not saying the trackers are lying. ICO era token sales probably just don't fit neatly into databases built around equity rounds a gap that likely isn't unique to Dusk.
Still genuinely unsure what the real combined total is, honestly. Anyone found a source that actually adds this up correctly?
