#dusk $DUSK @Dusk

Dusk’s Next Test Isn’t Privacy. It’s Adoption.

I’ve been looking at the latest Dusk updates, and one change stands out more than the usual privacy narrative.

DuskEVM testnet went live on August 10.

That means developers can now use familiar Ethereum tooling such as Solidity and Hardhat while building on Dusk.

The interesting part is the architecture.

Dusk is separating execution from its settlement layer:

• DuskDS → consensus, settlement & data availability
• DuskEVM → EVM applications
• DuskVM → native privacy-focused execution

And DUSK remains the gas/staking asset across the network.

So the real question has changed.

It’s no longer “Can Dusk build privacy infrastructure?”

Can Dusk attract enough applications to make that infrastructure economically useful?

The August EVM testnet is an important step because lower developer friction can matter just as much as technical capability.

For me, the metric to watch next isn’t simply DUSK price.

It’s developer activity, deployed contracts and actual transaction demand on DuskEVM.

That will tell us whether the architecture is becoming an ecosystem or just another technically interesting chain.
