‎Dusk's own documentation is explicit: Dusk Trade is the application layer for tokenized financial assets, sitting above the base protocol, turning market-infrastructure primitives into user-facing workflows — asset discovery, investor onboarding, wallet connection, payment coordination, trading actions, settlement. The same documentation states plainly it is not the base protocol; it's a product layer that uses the Dusk stack underneath it, with exact architecture depending on the specific product and regulatory requirements being served.

‎Self-critique: the showroom-comparison holds for the functional-split, but it understates something. A showroom doesn't usually decide what paperwork a customer needs before walking in. Dusk Trade's own materials describe it handling eligibility, disclosure, and settlement logic directly — meaning this "front-facing layer" carries real compliance-weight, not just a UI wrapped around existing infrastructure.

‎DUSK should be evaluated on whether Dusk Trade's current, waitlist-stage rollout actually delivers on that compliance-integration once it moves past early access, not on the architecture diagram alone.
