I have been tracking MiCA regulation in Europe closely this year because I think regulation could play a major role in determining which crypto projects can actually operate and scale in the EU over the next five years.
That’s one reason @Dusk_Foundation keeps standing out to me.
Privacy-focused projects face a difficult regulatory environment in Europe but Dusk appears to have taken compliance and regulated financial markets into account much earlier than many projects in the space. Between the XSC standard, Citadel’s compliance tooling, NPEX and DuskEVM the ecosystem feels increasingly focused on building infrastructure that can work within regulated markets.
I compared this with a couple of other privacy projects I hold, and the difference became pretty clear: some have strong technology, but much less clarity around how they intend to navigate increasingly strict EU regulation.
That changed how I allocate my portfolio.
I now view $DUSK less as a speculative privacy bet and more as a potential regulatory-compliant infrastructure play for European financial markets.
Of course that thesis still depends on execution over the next few years. But for me regulatory positioning has become an important part of the investment case.
Do you position your portfolio around where regulation is heading or do you wait and react after the rules are already written?
