I kept thinking about how easy it is to treat finality as a technical footnote, until the asset being settled actually matters. A few blocks of uncertainty may be irrelevant when you're trading something purely speculative, but for an RWA desk handling bonds, property, or settlement obligations, “probably final” is a very different proposition. If a transaction can still reorganize, it isn't really settled yet. It's still waiting. That’s what made Dusk’s deterministic finality interesting to me. Once a block finalizes, there isn't another layer of probabilistic certainty to wait for. The value isn't simply faster settlement. It’s the ability to make chain finality feel much closer to the certainty that custodians, contracts, and legal processes already require. Maybe the real test for RWAs was never getting them on-chain. Maybe it’s whether the settlement layer can give institutions a reason to stay.
