That's where I'm paying closer attention to Dusk's architecture than its headlines. Deterministic finality removes the ambiguity of "probably settled," but the harder engineering problem is making the cash asset obey that same irreversible settlement rule across every participant in the transaction. If one side depends on a different trust model, different settlement window, or reversible state, the weakest guarantee defines the entire trade.

Every bridge or messaging layer introduces another boundary where assumptions about ordering, execution, and confirmation have to remain perfectly aligned. The question isn't whether assets can move across networks. It's whether they can preserve the same legal and technical settlement guarantee once they arrive. Institutions don't measure interoperability by the number of connected chains. They measure it by whether risk increases the moment a transaction crosses one.
That's the metric I'd watch next: not transaction count, but whether regulated cash instruments, tokenized securities, and cross-chain settlement can all share one deterministic trust model. If Dusk proves that, its advantage isn't faster settlement—it's making settlement itself predictable enough for regulated capital to rely on
