#dusk $DUSK @Dusk Dusk Lightspeed L2 Vanished From Its Own Documentation

went back to check on Lightspeed, the EVM-compatible Layer 2 that Dusk announced by name as a headline Q1 2025 roadmap item.

they described it as "unveiling the L2 network interoperable with the Ethereum Virtual Machine," a standalone product with its own branding, announced alongside Zedger and Hyperstaking as one of three flagship 2025 launches.

Checked Dusk current official documentation for it. Nothing. The execution layer that exists today is called DuskEVM, described as the layer for Solidity applications settling on Dusk. No mention of "Lightspeed" anywhere in the current technical docs. Not a rename explained, not a deprecation notice, not a "formerly known as." The name that was announced with its own reveal, its own messaging, its own place in the roadmap alongside Dusk Zedger and Dusk Pay, is just gone from the primary source.

two possibilities. Either Lightspeed and DuskEVM are meant to be understood as the same thing and the branding was quietly dropped somewhere along the way, or the original standalone L2 concept got restructured into what's now DuskEVM and nobody formally announced that change.

Either way, if you were tracking the roadmap by the names Dusk itself gave these products, one of the three flagship Q1 2025 items no longer exists under the name it launched with, and there's no public note explaining where it went.
