Spent the CreatorPad task this week actually clicking through the unstake flow on Dusk instead of just reading about it, and the thing that stopped me wasn't the unstake button — it was what happens right after. $DUSK #dusk @Dusk
Docs say it plainly: no protocol waiting period once the unstake tx lands. Principal's liquid almost immediately. But scroll one line further and it says unstaking doesn't touch your accrued rewards — that's a separate withdraw action you have to trigger yourself. Checked the live explorer too, duskexplorer.com, "Unstake" sitting quietly in the tx-type filter among something like 89 contract calls in the last 24h out of 48k+ total recorded — barely a sliver of daily volume.
Small design choice, but it quietly decides who benefits first. Someone exiting fast for liquidity gets principal back clean, same day. Someone who forgets the second withdraw step just... leaves yield parked there. Not slashed, not lost, just idle and easy to forget about.
Kinda mirrored something dumb I do with my own bank account, honestly — move the balance, forget the interest sub-account still exists.
Makes me wonder how much unclaimed DUSK is just sitting across wallets that unstaked and stopped one step short.
