$DUSK biggest weakness might actually show up when you stop being a normal holder and get hands-on with the network.
If I became a Provisioner, I wouldn’t see it as just lock DUSK earn rewards, and chill. Your stake is on the line. You’re dealing with slashing risk, technical downtime, market volatility, and the simple headache of keeping everything running.
And honestly, the rewards might not always feel worth that stress.
There’s also the bigger question of decentralization.
If becoming a Provisioner needs serious capital and constant technical management, some smaller players might simply stay away. Over time, that could give bigger holders more influence across the network.
That’s something I’d personally think about before putting my $DUSK at risk.
Don’t get me wrong, I like Dusk and what it’s trying to build around privacy and regulated assets. I think the vision is interesting. But ignoring the downside isn’t doing anyone any favors.
For me, the real question isn’t whether Dusk has potential. It’s whether the potential reward justifies the responsibility and risk of actually helping secure the network.
If you had enough $DUSK to become a Provisioner, would you run a node or just hold?
