I’ve been looking at Dusk Network, and what stands out is how focused the whole thing is.
Dusk is a Layer-1 built specifically around privacy for financial applications.
That sounds simple, but it gets interesting when you look at what sits underneath it.
The network supports confidential smart contracts and powers the Confidential Security Contract (XSC) standard.
So the goal isn’t just putting financial activity on-chain.
It’s making room for financial applications that can operate on-chain without exposing sensitive information unnecessarily.
That’s the part I find interesting.
Dusk isn’t trying to bolt privacy onto the side of a general-purpose chain. Privacy is part of the foundation.
For financial infrastructure, that distinction matters.
You need things to work on-chain. You need them to be verifiable. But not every piece of information needs to be visible to everyone.
Dusk is building around that exact problem.
And honestly, I think that’s a much more interesting direction than simply adding another Layer-1 to the list.
