Pump fun Co-founder: I genuinely don't believe in decentralization
On August 8, 2026, Pump fun co-founder Noah Tweedale stated in an interview with Crypto Insider that he is a massive bear on decentralization. He believes that looking back at internet history, the ultimate winners were companies that controlled the full stack and provided excellent user experiences, rather than underlying infrastructure.
He genuinely does not believe in decentralization, stating that the Pump Foundation solely cares about user experience. Using Solana as an example, he believes on-chain activity has migrated to the relatively centralized Solana because the user experience on Ethereum is poor. As long as the end-user experience is optimal, users do not care if the underlying chain is decentralized.
