Ethereum is getting a fresh catalyst.

The Ethereum Foundation has launched the first public testnet for the Glamsterdam upgrade, putting another major Ethereum development back in focus.

But there's something else happening in markets that could be just as important.

💵 The U.S. dollar has fallen to a 10-week low.

At the same time, the 30-year Treasury yield has reached its highest level since 2007.

So we have three major signals appearing together:

🔹 Ethereum development accelerating
🔹 Dollar weakening
🔹 Long-term U.S. yields rising

And this creates an interesting setup for crypto.

A weaker dollar can make dollar-priced assets more attractive globally, while higher Treasury yields can keep pressure on risk assets because investors have a more attractive yield alternative.

That's why I wouldn't look at ETH in isolation.

The bigger question is whether Ethereum's fundamental progress can attract capital even while macro conditions remain challenging.

The Glamsterdam testnet is only an early step, so traders shouldn't treat the upgrade as an automatic bullish signal.

But if Ethereum continues improving its infrastructure while liquidity conditions become more favorable, the combination could become much more interesting.

👀 ETH is the coin I'm watching — but I'm watching the dollar and Treasury yields alongside it.

Do you think Ethereum's next upgrade can become a major catalyst for ETH, or will macro conditions remain the bigger driver?

Not financial advice. DYOR.
