The more I look into @Dusk_Foundation , the more I realize that node recovery is not just about getting a machine back online.
What caught my attention is the idea of restoring a previously verified state instead of forcing the node to rebuild everything from the beginning. That changes how I think about reliability.
A node can recover faster, but speed alone is not enough. The important question is whether the state being restored can be trusted and verified before the node continues operating.
That made me think about the hidden trade-off here. As a network grows, recovery becomes part of the infrastructure itself. If nodes can return to a validated state without sacrificing verification, the network can potentially make recovery more efficient while preserving confidence in the underlying state.
What I find interesting is that this is easy to overlook because most people judge a blockchain by transactions, liquidity, or visible activity. I’m increasingly interested in the infrastructure underneath those numbers.
For me, the real question is not simply how quickly a node can recover.
It is whether it can recover quickly without losing trust in what it restored.
