Been looking into @Dusk_Foundation lately and honestly it makes more sense than a lot of other privacy projects.
Most chains either show everything to everyone or hide everything so hard that regulators can’t work with it. Dusk tries to sit in the middle. You can keep stuff private with zero knowledge proofs but still prove you’re following the rules when you need to. That selective disclosure thing is pretty useful if you’re thinking about real financial stuff not just memecoins.
They built it in layers. DuskDS does the settlement part and now DuskEVM is live on testnet so people can use normal Solidity and Hardhat tools. You can even add privacy later with their Hedger module. Feels more practical than starting from scratch every time.
They’re aiming at regulated assets and institutional use cases under European rules like MiCA and MiFID. Partnered with actual licensed exchanges too. Not the usual we’ll figure out compliance later approach.
DUSK is just the token that runs the network fees staking the usual.
Not saying it’s perfect but the focus on making privacy actually usable with real rules is different from a lot of what’s out there. Worth keeping an eye on if you’re into that side of crypto.
