Most people see DUSK and think: **privacy blockchain.**
But the deeper I looked, the less that label explained what actually makes it interesting.
The part that caught my attention is **finality**.
Dusk uses Succinct Attestation with randomly selected committees.
One group proposes a block.
Another validates it.
A committee ratifies it.
Then it’s final.
That sounds simple, but for financial infrastructure, it matters a lot.
Because there’s a huge difference between:
**“This transaction will probably stay.”**
and
**“This transaction is settled.”**
Dusk is also building around different types of activity on the same network — public transactions, shielded transactions and smart contracts.
That combination is where things get interesting.
So I don’t think the biggest DUSK question is:
“Can blockchain transactions be private?”
It’s:
**Can privacy and predictable settlement actually work together for real financial infrastructure?**
That’s the part of DUSK I’m watching.
And honestly, it may be more important than the privacy narrative itself.
**Privacy or finality — which one will matter more for institutional adoption?**
