No Single Machine Sees The Whole Job 🤖 $NEAR shipped a mainnet upgrade this month adding post quantum signatures and automatic shard scaling, and its own marketing now describes NEAR AI as a platform for agents that run privately and carry out real economic activity. $VVV arrived at the same requirement from the opposite end of the stack, with Venice AI raising $65 million at a $1 billion valuation off more than 3 million users already running inference through it. Neither team is working with the other. Neither one is even in the same part of the stack. What gets me is that both landed on the same conclusion anyway, that an agent only becomes trustworthy once its execution stays confidential. Neither of them ships the layer that makes that guarantee true today.
