‎Circle unveils Arc blockchain with BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard backing

‎Circle introduced Arc, a USDC-powered blockchain for fast stablecoin payments and tokenized real-world assets, with founding validators including BlackRock, Visa and Mastercard.

‎Arc is designed as an institutional layer-1 focused on stablecoin-based transactions, cross-border settlements and RWA tokenization, using USDC for fees instead of volatile native tokens. According to Yahoo Finance, Tokenpost, Decrypt and Crypto.news, Circle plans to open Arc's public mainnet on September16, with financial heavyweights such as BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, ICE, DTCC, Standard Chartered and MoneyGram securing the network. The platform aims to deliver sub-second, low-cost transfers, 24/7 availability, and compatibility with Ethereum-based DeFi and tokenization workflows, positioning Circle as core infrastructure for traditional finance moving on-chain.

‎Watch the Arc mainnet launch in mid-September, the first production deployments from partners like BlackRock and Visa, and early transaction and RWA tokenization metrics that show whether institutions actually adopt the network at scale.
