DUSK is interesting for a reason that goes beyond the privacy narrative. Its real test begins when financial coordination becomes difficult and participants stop giving the system the benefit of the doubt. Dusk is built around confidential financial applications, selective disclosure, and verifiable execution, trying to protect sensitive positions while keeping enough evidence available for regulated workflows.

But markets behave differently under stress. When liquidity tightens, participants care less about what a protocol promises and more about what they can verify, price, and trust. Privacy creates a structural trade-off here: protecting sensitive information can improve institutional usability, but reduced visibility can also make collective risk harder to assess. The architecture may remain technically sound while confidence weakens economically.

That is the pressure point I find most important. Capital does not stay because a system deserves loyalty. It stays when incentives, liquidity, reliability, and perceived risk remain attractive. Dusk’s token is part of that coordination infrastructure, but the deeper question is whether participants continue cooperating when conditions become uncomfortable.

The uncomfortable question is simple: when people stop believing in the system, does privacy protect confidence—or make the loss of confidence harder to measure?
