I found something inside Dusk that made me rethink what “privacy” actually means.

It has a PHOENIX. 🔥

And no, I’m not talking about a marketing name.

Phoenix is Dusk’s shielded transaction model, using zero-knowledge proofs to prove a transaction is valid without exposing the underlying details.

But the part I find more interesting is what happens next.

Dusk doesn’t simply hide everything and call it privacy.

Authorized parties can still get the information they need through selective disclosure.

That creates a very different model:

Privacy for the public.
Proof for the network.
Disclosure when regulation requires it.

And that raises a bigger question for me:

If privacy can be proved without exposing the underlying transaction, could this become a more practical model for regulated financial markets?
