SHEIN Reportedly Targets Late-August Hong Kong IPO
Global fast-fashion giant SHEIN is reportedly preparing to launch its long-awaited Hong Kong initial public offering later this month, marking a major step in the company’s plans to enter public markets.
According to reports citing people familiar with the matter, SHEIN could begin accepting investor subscriptions around August 20, with a potential Hong Kong listing targeted for approximately August 28.
The company had reportedly been seeking a valuation of around $30 billion, although resistance from investors may push the final valuation lower. Existing shareholders could subscribe for nearly half of the shares offered in the IPO.
SHEIN is expected to raise approximately $2 billion to $3 billion through the offering, potentially making it one of the most closely watched Hong Kong listings of the year.
However, discussions are still ongoing, and the final valuation, fundraising size, and IPO timetable could change before the deal is officially launched.
For investors, SHEIN’s potential listing could become an important test of demand for major consumer and technology-linked companies in Hong Kong’s recovering IPO market.
