KOSPI up 4.1%, KOSDAQ up 1%. Today, foreigners net bought 1.5 trillion won, playing the lead role, with a similar number of rising and falling stocks, but a market where falling stocks are slightly more numerous. However, most existing leading stocks are rising.

Yesterday, Nasdaq rose slightly by 0.54%, but AI-related stocks including semiconductors were all strong. NVDA 3%, MU 4.9%, INTC 3.3%, $SKHY 9%, with server, GPU, memory, and even equipment stocks rising.

From AI server H/W like $SMCI to positive conf calls and surges from neo-cloud companies like CoreWeave and Nebius, contributing to the semiconductor rise. With capex upward revisions, revenue guidance upward revisions, etc., even as Nasdaq rose slightly, semiconductor ETF $SMH rose over 2%.

Thanks to this, today's domestic market has NXT, Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix gapping up and continuing strength from yesterday, hard-carrying the KOSPI index.

The fact that Leopold has invested up to about 12% stake in Japan's MLCC maker Taiyo Yuden was revealed (doubled down during the July plunge - see 4th screenshot), highlighting conviction in MLCC market conditions, leading to joint strength in MLCC companies like Samhwa Capacitor and Samsung Electro-Mechanics today.

Additionally, thanks to neo-cloud companies Nebius and CoreWeave rising 34% and 19% respectively in last night's U.S. market, data center-related stocks are also surging today. Plus, Nebius's earnings call announcement of switching power sources to Bloom Energy led to surges in new and renewable energy (especially fuel cells).

In summary, today it's semiconductors, MLCC, data centers (AI DC investment, operations, new renewables-fuel cells) forming a troika, a three-horse carriage leading the market.

Yesterday's July CPI came in line with expectations, shifting FedWatch September rate hike probability from 50:50 to 40:60 favoring hold, easing stagflation concerns (employment slowdown, inflation rise).

Tonight PPI, tomorrow retail data will be released, but for now, one big hurdle has been cleared. Today is Korean options expiration, so watch for potential heightened volatility in KOSPI 200 large caps in the afternoon. Tomorrow, Bill Gates' visit to Korea is scheduled, so check for possible additional news flow on SMR and AI.

KOSPI has rebounded to 6,844pt, escaping the bottom range and entering the 7,000~7,500pt supply zone. Trading volume has decreased a lot in the market, but steadily digesting the supply zone over time is positive. The key going forward will be whether it can raise lows even in corrections, but escaping the bottom range looks positive.

* Glad KOSPI rebounded two days in a row and escaped the bottom. Gathering opinions on Moneyflow revamp; if comments feel shy, DM is fine too. Good comments + reposts + quotes are love.

** Wrote an article last night on how to pick leading stock candidates, and followed up today with additional comments on precautions, so subscribers please read. And comparing to today's leading sectors should make it clear.
