Dogecoin Leads Majors, Up Nearly 3% — Market Update
Dogecoin is having a strong week. The meme coin climbed close to 3% on the day, pushing past the 7-cent mark and taking its weekly gain to nearly 3% as well — making it the top performer among major cryptocurrencies right now.
How the Rest of the Market Looked
Bitcoin (BTC) was the odd one out, slipping toward the $63,700 range and posting the only loss among majors, both for the day and the week.
BNB followed Dogecoin's lead, gaining around 2% to trade near $614.
Tron (TRX) ticked up close to 1% on the day, bringing its weekly gain above 2%.
XRP added a modest gain to sit just above $1, though it's still down roughly 5% for the week — the weakest performer among majors.
Solana (SOL) and Ether (ETH) both edged higher, hovering around $76 and $1,890 respectively, with Solana up about 3% over the past week.
HYPE was the other laggard, down slightly on the day and around 3% lower on the week.
The Bigger Picture
While crypto majors were mixed, equities markets moved higher on strong earnings — South Korea's Kospi jumped over 4%, led by big gains in Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix on optimism around shareholder returns.
For crypto traders, all eyes are now on the upcoming U.S. inflation data, which could set the tone for whether this relief rally in altcoins has more room to run.
