Volume Can Tell a Different Story
A price breakout gets my attention.
But volume decides whether I take it seriously.
I’ve seen plenty of charts push through resistance, attract buyers, and then lose the level almost immediately.
That’s why I now check three things together:
• Price: did resistance actually break?
• Volume: did participation increase with the move?
• Retest: can buyers defend the old resistance as support?
If the breakout looks strong but volume is weak and the retest fails, I’d rather miss the move than chase it.
Sometimes not entering is the better trade.
