#bstockscis okay, unpopular framing maybe, but COINB and CRCLB get lumped into the same "crypto-adjacent bStock" bucket and I don't think they belong there together at all. 🤔
COINB is a bet on activity. 🎰 Coinbase takes a cut of trading volume — doesn't matter if the market's ripping or bleeding, as long as people are clicking buy and sell, the revenue shows up. CRCLB is a bet on adoption. 🌱 Circle earns off USDC actually being held and used — reserve income, basically, which means it cares more about USDC's total float sitting still than about anyone trading anything.
So if crypto goes into a long, boring, sideways chop — the kind where volume dies but stablecoin balances just sit there — CRCLB might actually be the more resilient of the two, and COINB might be the one that quietly underperforms. Meanwhile in a wild, choppy, high-volume market, COINB probably wins that stretch even if CRCLB doesn't move much at all.
I used to think "crypto-adjacent equity" was one trade. 💭 Now I think it's at least two, pointed in different directions depending on what the market's actually doing, not just which direction it's going.
Which regime are you actually positioned for right now? 👇
1️⃣ High volume chop — COINB
2️⃣ Quiet accumulation — CRCLB
3️⃣ Hold both, hedging the regime
4️⃣ Hold neither
