Iran is constantly presented as America’s greatest enemy, but ordinary Americans have every right to question whether another war with Iran would make their families safer, their economy stronger, or their country more secure.
Meanwhile, Washington’s relationship with Israel has repeatedly placed the United States at the center of conflicts that many Americans never asked to fight.
American soldiers could be sent into danger. American taxpayers could be left paying hundreds of billions of dollars. And ordinary families could once again bear the consequences of decisions made thousands of miles away.
The message is not that Americans should blindly support Iran or any foreign government. It is that they should question whose interests are being served before accepting another war.
Iran does not have to be America’s friend.
