174 touches. That is how many times ETH has traded through 1,913.78 on the 15-minute chart. A level that busy is not support. It is a crowd.

Ether sits at 1,919.95, up 0.1% over 24 hours. Nothing happened today. On the surface the trend looks fine: the 4h EMA stack is bullish, 9 above 21 above 50, RSI at 62.4.

The level that decides it is 1,932.59 on the 4h, touched 45 times. Clear it and the 1,949.75 shelf comes into play. Lose 1,910.68, touched 60 times, and the bullish stack becomes a memory.

Here is the uncomfortable part. The 4h volume is running at 0.39x its 20-bar average. The 15m is at 0.56x. Price is drifting higher on the thinnest participation on the chart. Drifts like that get retraced by the first real seller. And the 200-day EMA still sits at 2,199.24, far above spot. This is a bounce inside a downtrend, not a recovery.

So: are you buying strength, or buying a market that has simply run out of sellers for an afternoon?
