Turns Out Gen Z Isn't the Reckless One Everyone assumes young traders are the degens, mashing max leverage and blowing up accounts. Binance Research just put a number on that assumption and it's wrong. Gen Z runs leveraged exposure at 5.9% of their volume. Millennials and older sit at 7-8%. The generation with the risk-seeking reputation uses the least leverage of anyone. Read that against the other big finding and a picture forms. Leveraged TradFi perps, betting on Tesla or Apple with borrowed size, 10x'd this year to $691 billion. Meanwhile plain tokenized stocks, no leverage, quietly crossed a million holders. Two very different crowds want two very different things. My read: the young cohort isn't chasing the adrenaline, they're chasing access. A Gen Z investor buying a fraction of an Apple share on-chain isn't gambling, they're just doing what a brokerage account used to require paperwork for. The leverage circus is an older crowd's game. There's a sting in the tail though. $BNB and SOL both host huge tokenization activity and both are down 30-40% this year. All those new holders, and the host tokens haven't felt a thing. Usage and price still refuse to hold hands. 🎢 #Altcoin Season#
