As technology advances, so do the risks surrounding cryptography, digital signatures, and network security. That’s why #Tron has already started preparing its infrastructure for a post-quantum future.
TRON is currently testing Quantum-Resistant Signatures on the Nile Testnet, exploring digital signature systems designed to remain secure against potential attacks from future quantum computers.
One of the key directions is the adoption of Post-Quantum Cryptography, including NIST-standardized algorithms such as the ML-DSA family, with the goal of strengthening blockchain signature security for the long term.
Earlier, the Nile Testnet passed Committee Proposal No. 20628 on July 2, 2026, officially enabling its Post-Quantum Signature feature on the testnet. The first algorithm introduced was FN-DSA-512, allowing developers to begin experimenting and building with the new infrastructure.
What makes this even more interesting is that @TRON DAO is looking beyond transaction signing alone.
The team is also exploring quantum-resistant protection across several parts of the network, including:
• Block production
• P2P node handshakes
• Smart contract signature verification
• Overall network infrastructure
Justin Sun @Justin Sun孙宇晨 has also announced that TRON is moving forward with its Post-Quantum Upgrade Initiative, with the goal of eventually deploying NIST-standardized post-quantum cryptographic signatures on the mainnet.
