🚨💻 SECURITY ALERT! HACKERS EXPLOIT BNB CHAIN TO SPREAD MALWARE VIA FAKE CAPTCHAS 🛡️⚠️
Microsoft Threat Intelligence has issued an urgent warning regarding a cyberattack campaign leveraging "EtherHiding" to host malicious code directly inside BNB Smart Chain smart contracts.
How It Works: Compromised websites display fake CAPTCHA prompts (known as "ClickFix" or "TerminalFix" tactics) that trick users into copying and pasting commands into the Windows Run box or PowerShell. Once executed, the system pulls malicious payload instructions directly from the on-chain contract.
Cybersecurity Diagnosis: By anchoring malicious code on-chain, attackers exploit blockchain immutability. Traditional takedowns fail because only the private key controlling the contract can alter its contents, granting attackers persistent access to compromise corporate and personal networks.
Community Debate: Have you ever come across one of these fake CAPTCHA prompts asking you to run terminal commands on Windows? Drop your thoughts below and help keep the community safe! 👇🛡️
