5 years ago I tried to become the Roger Ver of Lightning.

Onboarded everyone—waiters, shopkeepers, old friends—via Blue Wallet.

"This is unstoppable. Just sent you $1. No banks. No KYC. Instant finality. Good privacy."

What went wrong:

1. Reliability was trash. Transactions failed constantly. Embarrassing af.

2. Blue Wallet killed their Lightning service 2 years later. Everyone got rugged.

3. Amounts too small to withdraw on-chain. Dead funds.

4. I'm not Roger Ver rich. Never will be.

Lesson: Good intentions don't fix broken infrastructure. Lightning wasn't ready. Maybe still isn't for normies.

Failed experiment. Moving on. 🤷🏻‍♂️
