If you're still ignoring ETF flows, stop now.

Plenty of traders get chopped up buying the loudest narrative while the bigger money quietly rotates elsewhere. That’s how you end up FOMO-long $ETH while institutions are still tapping the brakes.

On August 3, spot $BTC ETFs saw $170.09M in net inflows, extending the institutional bid that has been supporting Bitcoin’s market structure. Meanwhile, spot Ethereum ETFs posted $11.42M in net outflows, showing a much more cautious short-term stance toward $ETH .

This reminds me of past cycles where Bitcoin soaked up institutional demand first, then capital rotated into ETH and higher beta names like $SOL later. The question is whether this is just a temporary lag for Ethereum, or a real sign that institutions still see BTC as the cleaner trade right now.

Are ETF flows telling us to stay Bitcoin-heavy, or is the market setting up a delayed ETH catch-up move?
