I've been thinking about Babylon lately, and honestly the BTC staking part isn't even what catches my attention anymore.

What stands out is that you can put idle BTC to work without giving up custody while helping secure PoS networks. That's a pretty different approach from the usual "bridge everything and hope nothing breaks" mindset.

As someone who's traded across too many chains, the biggest pain has never been finding opportunities. It's getting decent execution. Slippage eats entries, MEV bots jump ahead, liquidity is scattered everywhere, and sometimes you make the right call but still end up with a terrible fill.

If infrastructure can make networks more secure without adding more unnecessary friction, that's the kind of thing that matters over time. Traders usually chase the next narrative, but better infrastructure quietly changes the experience for everyone.

Maybe BABY ends up being more important for what it improves behind the scenes than for the hype people attach to it. That's the part I'm paying attention to.
