I’ve come to believe that the most valuable blockchain infrastructure is often the least visible. Good infrastructure doesn't ask users to abandon the principles they already trust; it finds ways to extend them. That has always been a difficult challenge for Bitcoin because its emphasis on self-custody and trust minimization leaves little room for shortcuts.
What I find interesting about Babylon is the problem it chooses to address. Bitcoin has enormous security value, yet that security has traditionally been difficult to apply beyond the Bitcoin network without introducing additional trust assumptions. Babylon approaches this by enabling self-custodial BTC staking directly on Bitcoin while helping enhance the security of Proof-of-Stake blockchains.
To me, the significance is not simply that BTC can participate in another security model. It is that the protocol attempts to do so without moving away from the principles that define Bitcoin itself. Maintaining user control over assets while relying on Bitcoin's cryptographic security and transparent design is a more thoughtful direction than treating convenience as the primary objective.
I think this reflects a broader shift in how blockchain infrastructure is evolving. Rather than replacing Bitcoin's security model, pr$PAXG
Long Liquidation: $ exploring ways to build around it. If that philosophy continues to mature, I can see this kind of trust-minimized infrastructure becoming an important building block for both Bitcoin and the wider crypto ecosystem.
