Everyone thinks banks using crypto means the old system is disappearing, but actually they may just be rebuilding the same system with $BTC rails underneath.

That’s where traders get trapped. They hear “banks + blockchain,” FOMO into $BTC, $ETH, or $BNB, and forget to ask who really controls the new plumbing.

1) Adoption does not always mean decentralization. Think of it like replacing a dirt road with a highway, but keeping the same toll booths, same gatekeepers, and same rules. The tech may be faster, but the power structure can stay almost identical.

2) $BTC blockchain can be used as infrastructure without giving users the freedom people originally came to crypto for. Banks are not trying to replace themselves. They are trying to make finance cheaper, faster, and more programmable while staying in the middle.

3) The mistake is assuming every “institutional crypto” headline is automatically bullish. It can be bullish for liquidity, yes, but risky if you buy without understanding whether the upside goes to users, token holders, or the same institutions as before.

So the real question is: are we watching crypto change banks, or banks change crypto?
